Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
Great week for Mon in what I think was her first $50K final? Pity she lost, but very encouraging signs

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
Lol, we've got Grand Slam, WTA and ITF circuit action all going at once - it's too much! (but I love it)
Anyways, Mon had another awesome win in Japan - 0 and 1 in her R1. Letcher lost though
Isabella lost her R1 in a $25K which sucks.
Bobusic won her R1 in a $10K in America but Rischbieth, Storm Sanders and Panoho all failed to qualify.
And someone already mentioned that Marija won her R1 in Korea $25K didn't they?

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
(SR)Monique Adamczak (AUS) def. Mari Inoue (JPN) 6-3 6-0
Monique is a demon at the moment. If she keeps going like this she could make USO qualies.
Marija lost her R2 in Korea with a W.O.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
Every point is moving Mon up the rankings at a rapid pace as she is not defending anything. It seems to have all come together for her after the slow start to the year. Would be fantastic if she could make USO qualies at the least.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
Mon should play on carpet more, she's better on the faster surfaces as she's not a baseliner grinder! A bit like Alex Stevenson, never understand why that girl doesn't play on carpet more as well, she'd be ranker higher thats for sure. Wonder if Mon is playing Wimbledon? Can she use SR for qualies?

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
No she used it for Australian Open this year which is a bit silly as she wasn't prepared! I guess she was busting to play though. Looking forward to some more good results from her!

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
Mon lost to the top seed in the QF
Bojana Bobusic is through to QF in the $10K in America and Rischbieth/Sanders are in the doubles SF which is a good effort.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
TA getting their act together is hilarious. But yeah I wouldn't be at all surprised if they sent Panoho, Sanders and Rischbieth over to America. But the others girls I'm almost certain are doing it by themselves.

Re: Aussie in Overseas Challengers
^ Thanks Territory, that would have been very embarrasing for me when she won the tournament.
I also didn't put in Carla Georgescu playing in Romania because she entered with her Romanian national ranking. Also two Chinese girls entered qualies in Indonesia with Australian rankings so not sure what that is all about.

Those girls played some AMT events in aus and picked up australian rankings that way....it then automatically comes up with the itf system when producing entry lists.
