I'm a new member since today.
I'm fan of Serena since Roland Garros's final in 2002. I had 12 years old and since, I think my obsession about Serena is bigger every day.

Hi! I'm Niki- I'm new the forum! I'm a huge Serena fan. I've been stuck in Iowa all of my life so I've never seen her play. But I will get to see her next month at the Sony Tennis Open! I also get a great deal on tickets (http://www.ticketsofamerica.com). Any other Serena fans going to be there? We could meet up for a few drinks! I'm excited to be a part of this forum and chat about Serena!

So I've been on this forum for about 8 years on and off but I have never actually introduced myself on here so since we have some new people posting I will take this time to introduce myself formally.

My name is Ivan I share the same last name as the GOATRena and Venus (No Relation that I know of

) so that definitely contributes to my die hard allegiance to them.

1st match I can really remember from Serena was the 1999 USO when she won her 1st slam and from then on I knew she was my favorite of the 2.

Starting with Wimbledon in 2000 I became a diehard fan. I would spend summer mornings and afternoons in June-July watching Wimbledon just because I wanted to watch Serena play. I even made my parents buy me a racket so I could learn to play. No one in my neighborhood would play tennis with me however because, "It wasn't for black people." I was raised the only child so after I would watch Serena play a match I would go into my garage and hit against the door/wall to practice and I would do this EVERY DAY during Wimbledon 2000-2002. Really annoyed my neighbors but I was like 9 when I started and didn't care at ALL.

Since that 1999 USO match I have followed Serena's career very closely. It is amazing to watch her still on tour 10+ years later still owning the tour and notching her place in the history books.

Been on this forum for 2 months already but have been secretly lurking for over 3 years

I can say I'm a pretty diehard fan as I only have 4 players that I really like after so many years of watching tennis, Serena is simply one of a kind. She has this intensity and competitive spirit on court that no other player is able to match. I remember I first got to know about Serena when I was watching the Miami 2007 final. I was like "ooh who's this fierce mama?" and I was intrigued. I started to watch more Serena matches over the years and naturally became a fan of hers

You guys have no idea how much her 2010 layoff tormented me because I was so afraid that she would never play tennis again. Besides Na's matches it's Serena's matches that make me so nervous like a terrible trainwreck. I still remember rewatching the horrific USO 04 QF and almost crying because she was so ripped off in that match

I would also stay up til the early hours of morning despite having classes next morning just for a Rena match, be it a R1 or a latter round match.

It feels good no matter what to just see her on court, healthy and playing. It just feels great to be a Serena fan because she's so full of fire and life as a player and as a person.

serena fans are the best! welcome to all! we are one happy family! i only trust the serena fans that post here in the sub-forum, lol. the ones on the gm that i never see post in the subthreads i dont trust as much, lol.

Serena fans are one big happy family. Not only will they curse each other out they will curse Serena out if she's losing but no better, funnier, and crazy fans in existence.

So damn glad I'm a Serena fan because her fans have no mercy on the haters.

i became a fan of serena when she beat steffi graf in indian wells (1999), and my fandom became concrete when she beat sharapova in the 2005 australian open semifinals

Why don't trust those who don't post here much ? i don't much , but i always read the section . And i can guarantee you that i am a diehard fan of serena since 2000 .
