Yeah I agree, she is also still entered in Bangkok too and the deadline to withdrawl is tomorrow.
Perhaps she's changing her mind again hehe, one could only wish

I wish the journalists would check in here for 'obvious questions to ask' before they interviewed the players!
Her interview on radio I posted a few days back wasn't clear to whether she was playing Fed Cup or not even though it was discussed. She said that she was in the team and then said that here retirement now gives a young player a go BUT I could've been in a general sense not just regarding this tie.
She said say she could play the next two months with the current state of her knee but would struggle to go beyond that particularly against the top gals. I suppose we got assume that she won't play but its still in the air.

Re: Nicole Pratt

It's pathetic that Australian Tennis Magazine and TA basically didnt even mention Pratty's retirement...she has had the most consistent results of all Aussie women over the decade and is a rolemodel for many young players

You're right, this is pretty poor. I can understand A.T Magazine making no mention as it's such a shite magazine that they probably are yet to realise she's retired.
TA are probably just as bad......
If Pratty was a men's player, I'm sure it'd be different....

Re: Nicole Pratt

The Magazine had a small section in it, but overall it wasn't very noteworthy.

You've always been a fan Ellery
God the first thing TA could do is grab the likes of Ferguson, Moore, Rogowska, Sheed, Wishink and make Nicole their coach. A month with her would toughen them up to no end.
Just the small time Nic worked with Casey during 2007 Wimbledon would show her value as a coach and mentor.

Exactly right Lou Lou. If Nic was a guy, TA would jumped at the chance. Hopefully we don't end up losing her to some Florida coaching academy because TA were too brainless to enlist her.

Thats the problem. How often have we heard the likes of Pat Cash, Dianne Balestrat etc... offering their services with TA saying we'll get back to you... and then nothing. We have excellent coaches like Darren Cahill coaching overseas. Todd Woodbridge helping Thomas Johansson.... We waste our time and money on the likes of John Alexander and John Fitzgerald who's knowledge is so out of date and simplistic it isn't funny. And they employ someone like Mark Woodforde who turns out to be an ego maniac on a power trip
We are often too slow on the uptake and then they are offered more money overseas

Re: Nicole Pratt

Exactly! All the past players seem to want to work for TA, yet they persist with fossils like Fitzgerald who's game was from 30 years ago.
How many of the past Aussie women are they utilising? Bradtke, Pleming, Moulds & Field are the only ones I can think of.....
Past players like Joanne Limmer shouldn't be stuck behind the counter of a tennis shop, let alone the likes of Pratty, etc. She'll end up coaching some US tennis player by next year knowing our luck....
