For the fans, Irena is back to competition next week at London $25K challenger. She's one of the seeded player for the qualies!
She also commited Tuton $25K the week after, she's still alternate for the qualies but shiould be in!

I hope she will take South down. I don't what the problem is with Irena, she seems to be quite talented, but she has so many poor results ...

This win is followed with a very good result, she defeated Britain's Melanie South 63 62. She plays Ozegovic in the QF. Good luck baby !

Irena seems to be finding her way again. She is in QF in Portimao (10,000$). I hope it is the beginning of her rise to the top 200.
She has nothing to defend till July.

If Irena wins that tournement, she'll break a nw ranking record..around n°320

Nest week, she's competing at Buchen $10K..I think, she's making the right choice to play $10 to get confidence and also to get easy ranking points.. With the 2007 rules, it's worth to play $10K than $25K or 50K qualifications. I think it's unfair but it's like that, qualies don't pay points anymore...so it's hard for the girls between 200 and 350 to rise

After having lost the final in Portugal against Silva, Irena may have injured herself. She was supposed to play in Orange but she offered a walk over to her opponent.

After a couple of week out of competition, Irena is back for the American Challenger Tour....
This week, she's playing a strong $75K at Dothan...

She seems to be back and confident ousting 3rd seed/n°217 Neha Uberoi in 2ets 6/3 7/5.

Next opponent Ekaterina Shlaeva (n°406)
