Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Cibulkova won't be hitting her off of the court, and she will get the opportunity to hit a lot of balls. I hope she does well, but loses in the second round to Patty. I doubt Patty can get by Paszek in the first place, so I want Lucie to make the 3R.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

I think Lucie would fair better against Paszek's big hitting game than Schnyder's game.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Safarova/Zvonareva def. (8) Garbin/Peer 6-1 6-4.

Hopefully Lucie wins more doubles matches and gets to practice more. She will need all of the match play she can get at this point.

Yes, and I always thought she was a horrible doubles player.

Back in the days when she won singles matches and we didn't care about doubles.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Exactly.

Lucie is into Dubai MD now that Serena has withdrawn, though. Not sure if that is a good thing or not, we will see.

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

(wc)Safarova/Zvonareva (CZE/RUS) d. (4)Chan/Chuang (TPE/TPE) 46 64 10-6

were up 4*-1 in both sets, down 2-5 in the TB. What a match.

Nice to see my favourite team ever doing well. Now against Black/Huber in the semis

Re: Lucie Safarova Cheering Thread

Winning matches, regardless of the event they are in, gives you confidence, and that is the #1 thing that Lucie needs right now.

Nice job girls, very unexpected.
