JJ beat Niculescu easily in the next round, 2 and 1. I'm sure there is a way for Lucie to beat Monica but she would need to develop a much better understanding of her tactics against her. I actually haven't watched the 2011 US Open match but maybe I should at some point to try to understand what goes wrong for Lucie against her. I don't really want to watch that match though. Maybe in a few weeks when I'm over this loss I'll have a go and try to come up with a plan for Lucie against her. Not that she'll ever read my plan... but I'd like to prove to myself that there is a way Lucie can beat her. It can't really be that hard to beat her, can it? Lots of girls do it...
Of course even if you were her coach and told her the correct plan she would probably go on court and do something else entirely...

I guess it's just a bad match up for her. Just like how Lucie seems to be a bad match up for the Radwanska sisters, with a 4-1 record against Aga and 2-0 against Ula

Linz draw is out...Arvidsson R1, Hradecka R2, Görges/Hantuchova QF are her seeds, then Ana SF. Tbh they are all winnable matches...i'd like her to do well this week. Hopefully a SF, QF at worst tbh.

No idea Lucie obviously has no chance of winning with Ana there  but she deserves it she's way more committed to fed cup than Ana or Jelena tbh. |

Another loss, this time against Arvidson who hasn't done anything this year  Typical match by Lucie: wins 1st set, sleeps and loses interest in the second then tries to comeback in the 3rd but too little too late...
Serving stats are horrid: 54% 1st serve in and 12 DF She really wants to fall from the top 20 it seems...
