So, moving well away from the US open now, Lucie is down to play in Quebec next week. She should be seeded, though I am not sure what she will be seeded as yet...

In any case, good chance for her to have another strong run and do well in a smaller tournament. Lets hope, anyway.

Lucie is second on court today against Dubois.

Lisicki has withdrawn from the tournament, which makes Lucie the highest seed in the bottom half. Will she take advantage of it? I doubt it

Even though she should have a good run now, Lucie just doesn't inspire faith in us does she?

In theory she is now fave to make the final. Anyway, she is beating Steph, 5-1 in first set.

She won the first set 6-1, breaking Steph to finish the set, so she serves first in the second.

She is the only person ranked in like the top 85 in the bottom half of the draw, so she should be the favourite for the final. Buttttttt we know Lucie too well to expect anything

I wanna celebrate a 6-1 set one win but you just never ever ever know with Lucie. But I will take anything except another 3rd set loss tie breaker
