From SuperSport.com, it looks like the coaching arrangement between Marion Bartoli and Amelie Mauresmo is closer to getting done.
“Amélie’s going to be probably my main coach – for some tournaments, the big ones, at least. Then of course I need to find someone else, because a year is not only made by a Grand Slam and Indian Wells and Miami. It’s a lot of tournaments every week, and I need someone with me every week.

Hmmm, I have to say this doesn't particularly surprise me. Amelie probably wants to do all she can to help Marion win for France, whether on the tour or in Fed Cup. And she's always got on with Marion, so why not?
I know some don't like Marion, but I have no particularly strong feelings either way. And if it means seeing Amelie more often...

Amélie Mauresmo a dévoilé sa sélection pour affronter le Kazhakstan. Marion Bartoli est dans le groupe ainsi que Caroline Garcia.

so happy to see Amé helping the young french players. She teams with Caroline which is my favourite player among the others(mladenovic,cornet)
it is funny cause last time I saw Caroline play, it was at Charleston against Jankovic, she had some "amélie gesture" before serving, I was like "wait a minute I know this routine" you know when amélie pass a finger to take off a sweat from her forehead and put in on her shirt
well I think she has a LOT of respect for Amélie for sure. |
