Honestly i had fun watching this match. Good tournament for Jaja overall, it was a decent performance , looked sharp most of the time, only her being braindead is a problem, but that ain't gonna change(ever) :spit:
She needs to be able to beat players like Kerber if she wants to make it into the top 5. I guess she thought she had a good chance for the title because she beat Kvitova and forgot she had to win two more matches.
Good fight in set 2, but played some brainless tennis on the key points.
She won her match yesterday with the exact same situation on the MP, so it was kinda a payback.
Her real chances were at 1-6 3-2* and she wasted them all with poor returns and sloppy UE, in the tie-break it's always a toss-up who is going to win
Stupid idiot Can't believe all the fight she has escapes her these days. She'll never win another tournament unless there's no top 100 ranked players in it
Well, what can JJ do when her hardest balls are just being blocked back and AK is hitting every single line. JJ is fast but she's not that fast.
I never realized just how much a counter puncher Kerber is.
remembered that venus got match against jelena in 2009 yec sf just like kerber.jelena was unlucky two times on same court.hope she wont play single and doubles in same day.too much for her.but she had chance.
I don't think it comes down to bad luck. Yes the match point was unlucky for her, but she does it to herself. That 2nd set was hers to take, and yet again, she does not capitalize. And it bit her in the ass. Again. It will always be like that. Always. Until retirement.
Ugh, Kerber's game is UGLY. Her hitting stance, the non-existing follow-through, all the pushing...
But she's a fighter...
I think Jelena was too tired mentally because of constantly having to think how to finish the point off after Kerber's junkballs. But there's no exuse. She needed to serve better and cut down the ues. At this point she really must be winning matches against Kerbers of the WTA.
