It'll take two years for Errani to fall back into the 11-15 range where she belongs. I love her effort and her enthusiasm though. Wish some of the other girls, like Kvitova, cared as much.

I disagree, since the change of rule in international events it is not that easy to stay on top. Just like Wozniacki showed, she is barely a top 10 player. with Schiavone the reason why she was in the top 10 for two years is because of her French Open performance a win and then a final.

Indoor hardcourt GOAT Love that she basically only beat another clay specialist to make the final of the hardcourt ballbashers paradise that is this tournament.

Even for Wozniacki, her ranking was kept artificially high for long after her peak form ended, by the perks of having a high ranking (good draws, 1st-round byes, the "aura" of being a top player that makes it mentally harder for opponents to get over the finish line).
Errani may well fall out of the top 10, but honestly I've never thought that she'd fall further than about #12/13 at most this year, and she was certainly never going to have the huge slide some were hoping for.

Probably not the final, but I honestly would not be surprised at all to see her make the semis Who other than Serena/Maria/Princessrenka can beat her on clay? Stosur in theory, but I'm not sure I'd like her chances of closing her out after those clusterfucks she had against her at RG and the YEC last year. Maybe Kuznetsova if she can re-find her best?

Re: Paris SF: Sara Errani def. Kiki Bertens 5-0, Ret.
Perhaps this explains why the attendance of this Premier not that great. I felt sorry for people who bought semi-match tickets for this.
Sara is a very smart girl. She knows how to make the most out of the situation and her limited ability for a top tenner. For years, she was just a journey woman, worked hard ( and got some luck of the draws) to get to the top 10 and try her best to stay there. It's wise to commit to those Premier tournaments that held right before or right after the Slams where the fields are weak, players are tired and not that motivated and cheap points can get easily.
It's idiotic to make any Premier tournaments right before or after Slams, just like asking for disasters.

Errani is losing to either Sharapova or Serena, those are the only 2 who can beat her at RG IMO

Errani's draw is not her fault. Too many people underestimate her.
You have to play close to your best to beat her and you can't discredit her if Rybarikova and Bertens weren't.

People forget Ivanovic almost closed it out in 2 n the 3rd round. No doubt in my mind Ana should have won that, but she just got tight
Congrats Errani, I knew you'd make the F, but please, don't win this.
