- 4 day vacation on Rhodos and much time with her family after Wimbledon exit (maybe to resolve the ominous family problems)

- no new coach this season...just hitting partner Boris Conkic. She makes her training schedule herself

Re: Petko Articles & Interviews

I thought Dirk Dier would coach her continuously before. The "Interessenkonflikt" might just be the excuse this time after she blamed her team for "not supporting her"

Re: Petko Articles & Interviews

Her reasoning is funny: "If Dier is my coach and I play a German player I would have to be without a coach for a day and that's bad. So now I'm without a coach every day and that's much better."

Re: Petko Articles & Interviews

She kept expressing her worries about this Interessenkonflikt since she has worked with Dier. At the same time she said she would ask for her team mates' attitude towards his coaching. I don't think other girls really care about that. In my opinion she wants to stop this collaboration herself.

I think I missed a few things lately...

Could explain me what you mean by saying 'maybe to resolve the ominous family problems' and 'The "Interessenkonflikt" might just be the excuse this time after she blamed her team for "not supporting her'?

By the way is Petko still dating that "journalist"?

Not Rick but I'll try:

She quit midway in her presser after her Wimbledon loss, citing family problems.

She was upset that her team didn't make enough encouraging signs during a match I think.

No idea. I followed him on twitter for a bit but he got too annoying.

Re: Petko Articles & Interviews

Dier never was a coach for a long time that's what she always said. But I thought she would be looking for a good permanent coach during that time, but seems like this didn't happen.

Re: Petko Articles & Interviews

That's the worst reasoning i've ever heard for firing a coach? He didnt show enough support?Does she want a coach or a clown-cheerleader to hit his chest every time she wins a point? She's a bit of a mess now,mid career crisis, years are passing, she's gettin closer to 30 and hasnt achieved much(at least based on the high goals she's set for herself.)Well at least Boris Becker isnt a bad consultant, all this stuff he's achieved with Djokovic speak for themselves.

That was for sure not the reason. Petko often is talking bullshit during a match so that shouldn't be taken too seriously.

The reason simply is that Dier never was meant to stay for long since he's working for the German Tennis Federation as well.
