Re: The Junior Championships, Wimbledon, GA
Belinda & Ana Great week, two great players together could only result on this great results And Townsend is such a great doubles player, plus Bouchard is also very good, so obviously no shame to lose to them
I still hope we can get to see more of Konjuh/Jorovic in the future & Belinda could team up again with Komardina.

Re: The Junior Championships, Wimbledon, GA
It's funny how Ana/Bel's average serve speed was 89 MPH, while Genie/Taylor's was only 90 MPH, even though they're 3 years older (more muscles ), Genie is tall and Taylor is massive, while Ana is kinda' massive too, but Belinda is really thin.
Also, fastest serve for Ana/Belinda was 110 MPH, while Genie/Taylor's was only 104 MPH I bet it was Ana's
And yet the serve made the difference, Ana/Bel having only 55% of the first serves in, while the other pair having 73%

Genie and Taylor were probably placing them better, which matters more than the speed, specially in double.

One would be surprised as to how tall Belinda actually is. Ana is definately bigger, but Belinda is either as tall or taller. You can tell from the video.

I have a few questions about Ana and Belinda.
How's Belinda's serve? It was one of her weaknesses and I hope she improved it a little. Ana's is powerful I think. Also, how are their returns?
How's Ana's net play?
How's Ana's movement? She's pretty massive for her age.
Is any of them grunting during points?
Did you figure out any weakness of Ana and Belinda?

No offence, but Ana actually doesn't hit the ball as hard as you think. Her ground strokes are more damaging because of the spins. also she is so consistently powerful that even if she doesn't hit the ball the hardest of all players, she will wear them down. Her movement is good for someone her size but she seems to struggle to get down low. Her volleys are decent but only when she has time. Her serve and return are both fantastic. Her second serve has kick on it and she can also add slice, while she places her returns very nicely. If the two were grunting, it was nothing excessive. Belinda has very nice movement and anticipation but she lacks variety in all areas of her game. Her serve is not weak as such but very predictable and her motion seems jerky. Her second serve is definitely a weakness. Her ground strokes are as good as Ana's and are often hit flatter and more consistently, but on many other surfaces she would struggle as she doesn't like the ball up high. She struggled against Svitolina's kick serves to her backhand. Her timing is better than Ana's but as I said before, Ana's shape gives her an advantage. The weaknesses of Ana are movement, footwork, shot selection, getting to low balls and variety (not because she lacks it, but because she doesn't use it) while Belinda's are her serve, deep topspin balls, variety and consistent power (meaning that if the ball isn't in her zone she often provides weak balls which can be put away). On the other hand, Ana's strengths are the serve, the return of serve, power, consistency and putting balls away while Belinda's are footwork, movement, reading the play, backhand exchanges, defensive skills (which often make up for her giving away short balls) and the return of serve. I hope I have been helpful.
