This loss wouldn't have been so bad if it was in straight sets like Miami, but the fact that Serena fought back to level it, served for it, and was serving 2 points away in the tiebreak is tough to get over considering it's a premier level tournament she has never won. Azarenka got ridiculously lucky in the tiebreak when Serena couldn't bunt the ball back into the WAY open court and double faulted the very next point.
However, the volley she made to get her second match point was impressive and very clutch. Nevertheless, wtf is up with the three losses to Azarenka coming only in finals of big tournaments? Two of them in three sets no less?!
The only stain on this year has been the 4 three set losses, three of which she was UP A BREAK
in the third, and two of which coming AT GRAND SLAMS!!!!
As someone else said, this is not the Serena Williams I know and love! Only a 5th US Open can save us.
