Talking AO QR2: Kumkhum def. Nara 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 !

Kumkhum is such a puzzling player. I really wish to see her play live.

She could be on a roll like the first set and suddenly hit 3 double faults to be broken, then goes on a rampage to win 8 points in a row!

A rollercoaster ride of emotions just watching the live scores!

Hope she wins the final round of qualifying considering poor Tammy is out with a heartbreaking 8-10 loss in the third set in the first qualifying round.

But her next opponent Sirotkina who won her in straight sets in 2011) have not dropped a set yet, while she had to play two three setters so....

Re: AO QR2: Kumkhum def. Nara 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 !

she's a classic case of a flat BBB, so no mystery there. her game is very enjoyable though - flatter and more aggresive version of shuai peng, without brain, footwork and retrieving skills

You've seen her live?

Well, all the video clips i saw only show her side and it doesn't show much about how hard the shots are ....she doesn't seem to waste time. Be it in or out, she just immediately turns around and ask for a ball and starts. Doesn't even stop to think or reflect (like some player do for a few secs before asking for the balls) and not much expression shown either.

I think these are her best 3 sets results ever. Normally, she loses in three sets or win in straights.

I saw her live. For a bit. She hits 2 hands both sides, except on the forehand side she releases the left arm early. She does hit very flat and I did her a lot of outs. Tanasugarn was also watching the match.

Wow Thanks! I guess she would not do very well on the main tour since there are many counterpunchers on tour who would most likely force her to hit an error in long rallies...

But I still hope she qualifies. Many thanks for everyone's insight.

Luk's game is similar to Nok. Hitting with two hands both side. She hit the ball hard, good serve and moving better than Nok.

Hope she can qualify.
