Kirsten takes the first set with 6-4!
She is definitely the better player on court at the moment!

Kirsten lost 6-4 4-6 2-6.
Fantastic effort against top 4 player and defending champion.
What next? Fed Cup?
Come on Kirsten lets keep going to top 20

Normally she will play Monterrey next week?
Or maybe she will pull out because of her good performance here in Miami...
Anyway, this was again a great month for her in the US. And she can definitely beat the 'top' players if she raises her game on the important points. She was definitely the better player in the first two sets.

Fantastic tournament for her, I'm delighted.
And that was a great match against Aga.

She has zero points to defend, so really no presure for her
. She can play freely and probably grap some points to enter the top 20

Beaten by A. Radwanska, but another threesetter! She has to keep playing like she did in the first set...
Will be hard against Julia, but she's not playing great lately... So anything is possible!
GOOD LUCK!

Will be tough! But Mona can play so up and down sometimes, so you'll never know!
And head to head is 1-1.
Good luck to her!

I hope Kirsten can get a win.
Flipper beat Barthel in Quebec but Barthel won in Hobart.
Clay is not Kirsten's best surface.
I hope she has recovered from Stuttgart.

Yes too bad
but she's still virtually #20 at the moment and will stay there if Makarova will lose next round... If she wins, Kirsten will be #21, so she will rise again anyway
