Monique is having a stagnant year...it's always hard to follow on from a successful year though, and last year was relatively successful for her in terms of returning from an injury to the top 300.

Let's hope she can pick things up. She has the ability to be ranked much higher than 320 or whatever she is.

She should have been playing in these Asian events though. Perhaps taken a break after Fukuoka, and returned in one of the 25K's a few weeks back.

Next events:
Jul. 19 Oyster Bay 50K
Jul. 26 Lexington 50K
Aug. 2 Louisville 50K
Aug. 16 Bronx 50K

Good performances in these events will give her a good bosst up the rankings and maybe get her into qualies at the asian wta events after the us open if she plays well

Cool lots of 50K's

If Monique and Casey do good there then anything is possible and hopefully they can both get there ranking up 50 places or so which is like 5 or 6 wins over

Long overdue BUMP

The gal has the goods, whether she can ever get some point construction happening, will determine if she can rise from 350's to inside the top 200 (which she is more than capable).
But losing close matches to Ferguson yesterday, a tiebreak to Erakovic the week b4 and that marathon against Ambrovic at the Aus Open quallies, is something she needs to turn around.

Wow, I was just thinking we have no Monique thread (yet threads for Barr, D'Amelio, Gonzales etc) and up pops this little gem from the past! ;)

She's certainly let some big opportunities slide this year already. Very disappointed to see her lose that close one against Sophie :(

Surely if she's going to make some sort of inroads on the tour, however small that may be, it's going to have to be soon.
