As expected, a big jump in the rankings this week for Jasmina. She went up almost 100 spots, from 630 to 537. That's also a new career-high rank for her. Best of luck to her in '09.
Ideal scenario would be her reaching R2 in Dubai, so that she ends this season inside top500. It'll be hard, but with a bit of luck, it's not impossible!
Jasmina hasn't withdrawn yet and is now into the qualies entry list for next week's $75K in Dubai. Good luck to her. Even if she can win just one match (1 point), that would still mover her up about ten spots.
A really unlucky draw here. This girl is 359 with a career-high of 242, but I still believe Jasmina can win it. An advantage of Tedjakusuma is also her experience, cause she's practically a veteran at 32. But read this - she had 7 straight loses last year in just two months. Her first half of the year, however, was decent, with even a semi of 50k from qualies. She also won 3 doubles titles on challengers.
Jasmina continues her American tour in Laguna Nigel 25k. She's got a great QR1 draw, playing wild card Turewicz, but could face 5th seed Lee-Waters in the next round.
Jasmina got to a flying start, winning QR1 by 6:2 6:0, but had to win a three set battle against Harmsen (#538) to get to QR3. She plays #473 Vandeweghe for a place in the main draw.
Lost 3 and 4 Oh well, hoping for a LL spot. Can't say I'm surprised by this result, but it's a shame to lose in QR3 of all stages. Jasmina is on the list for another 25k in the States next week, so hopefully she'll do better there.
Jasmina got a WCQ for Midland 75k But she's playing 5th seed in QR1 It's Fichman, who's a year older but at a career high ranking of 232. They've never played eachother.
