With Bertens reaching the Semis of Paris as a lucky loser, we've had now 2 lucky losers in Semifinals in a short amount of time (Tsurenko also doing so at Brisbane). They both took advantage of that second chance, and it's cool that they both reached Semis of Premier Events.

But looking back: How many times has this happened in the last few years?

I remember a guy on the ATP either reaching the final or winning as a lucky loser a few years ago. Doesn't happen that often in WTA. Have any ever won?

ATP
1990 Dutch Open Francisco Clavet def Eduardo Masso 3-6 6-4 6-2 6-0. Masso was himself a qualifier.

1991 Benespa Open(now defunct) Christian Miniussi def Jaime Oncins 2-6 6-3 6-4.

2008 PBZ Zagreb Indoors Sergiy Stakhovsky def Ivan Ljubicic 7-5 6-4. Ljubicic was the #1 seed.

2009 Hall of Fame Tennis Championships Rajeev Ram def Sam Querrey 6-7 (5-7) 7-5 6-3. Sam was the #3 seed,

These are the only known cases on either tour of Lucky Losers winning.
