And loses from a set up.
To be honest, that was as a cakewalk draw as they get (Pironkova is not top 100 level on clay; she and Paszek are just clueless off grass) in a MD she did not deserve to enter, which resulted in her first back-to-back MD wins in over a year.

Who knows how long it'll be before she gets such an opportunity for a tour semi.

She played very well in the first set, but lost her composure completely in the 2nd and 3rd...the serve really needs improvement.

A very surprising run by Shahar and her young Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski (who's Julia's pigeon in singles) in Brussels
They beat the #3 seeds HC Chan and Jurak in R1 - both top 50 in doubles - and today the top seeds, Zheng and Mirza - both top 20. Mirza is Shahar's former partner, with whom she took her last doubles title to date, in Stanford nearly 6 years ago.
The Canadian has never been near a tour final of any kind.

They will be underwhelming underdogs in the final tomorrow vs Peschke-ALG. Good luck!

No miracle in the final - lost convincingly 0-6 3-6 to Peschke/ALG. Great run although she should still care more about singles.

Yeah, but she will go down before she even has the chance to go up. She would have to play in some 50k's and 25k's! This looks very bleak for Shahar, right now.
