Born 27.12.1997
Ok guys I followed this girls developement for quite a few months now.
Last month she won the European Junior Championships, Pilzen for girls under 14.
Other success she had this year:
Winner of G16 Junior Croatia Open, Cakovec
Winner of G14 Mladost Grill Open, Zagreb
Winner of G16 Kvarner Open, Rijeka
Also reaching a G16 final in AvignonFR and a couple of SFs.
This year she has a win-loss record of 48-7 currently. With those 4 titles.
She seems to be highly talented, there´s a lot of potential, hope she´s not going to fade away and go her way.
Yeah. She'd better forfeit, for her own sake It wouldn't be fair to cut Carol's chances off, though. Perhaps only if Carol would get that and ask Ana if she wants to concede the match, otherwise I don't see Ana asking Carol to get the walkover
As for the singles, Ana is lucky to have Kasatkina in the QF. I mean Kasatkina is good and on form, but you'd expect a tougher opponent in a GS QF.
That match reminds me of her match with Sasnovich in Fed Cup,lot of missed chances, but happy end I hope she has enough strength for tomorrow singles match, she should withdraw from doubles
I am not meaning to raise any issues, but is it just me or does Ana look bigger
It may just be the injury but it is important for her health and for the benefit of her career that she stay is skinny and muscly as possible
I think her legs got bigger not so much the upper part of her body. It happens when one pauses the usual trainig regime  It takes longer to get back to how it used to be though... Actually she looks bigger on these photos, on the video she looked just like on those fedcup photos
She has not been playing for months, it is completely normal to have gained a few pounds. She will get into shape in no time. As to the match, glad to see her pull through. :yeah:
Hope this will be the last junior event and she will be able to stay healthy and start concentrate on 10K and 25K level, she has proved everything already on the junior level.
Big disappointment? :spit:
+ of course, she's motivated on junior Grand Slams, she wouldn't have won today if she was "bored" and not caring for the outcome.
+ she only plays Junior Grand Slams anyway, I think junior US Open will be her last junior tournament, or maybe GA in Osaka if she goes to play some Pro Circuit in Asia in autumn.
+ I think she should withdraw from 25k Montpellier if she makes it far this week but of course her and her coach know better
ROLAND GARROS
free week
25k Montpellier
free week
WIMBLEDON
Anyway, I like that she plays tournaments back to back like Maribor + Roland Garros, it gives her an essential experience for WTA tour, where you play a tournament by tournament.
