Anne-Liz is 14 years old American junior, who was birth in Cameroon. Her career high singles in WTA ranking is 984. In junior ranking, her career record is only 299, but she didn't play a lot of junior tournaments last time. Lately, she plays a lot in American ITF tournaments.
She defeated Julia Cohen, Megan Falcon, Zarah Razafimahatratra, Eri Hozumi, Kyle McPhillips, Stephanie Nauta, Kimberley Zimmermann, Alexis King, Kelsey Laurente or Christina Makarova since April 2010.
I think that she'll be really good in future :yeah:
Sadly I think her run ends today against an elite former college player who has been winning tons of matches on the ITF tour lately. I really had faith in her against Totka because even though Naomi is in the top 400, she gets the majority of her points by travelling all over the world playing random tournaments. I knew Anne-Liz could win that and glad she did :yeah:
Now hopefully she puts up a good fight against Ahn
definetly not what i had hoped for...a closer score would have been nice at least...it's sad to admit, but i don't think there is much of a career ahead of her anymore...she was promising a few years ago, but lately, she hasn't been winning anything of importance. she and sachia were around the same ranking a few years ago and i was interested in seeing how they would both do, but when you look at what sachia achieved in the last years and what anne-liz did in comparison, there isn't really much to talk about anymore...
I wonder how long she will stay on tour. I think it's pretty obvious it might be for her right now.
Here's a practice match she played against a 17 year old last fall. She looked pretty bad against someone who wasn't even going to college for big time tennis.
She should have stayed at Clemson for another year or two. She was so young when she started and would have gotten a ton of good match play in the SEC. I wonder if she wishes that she had stayed now.
They easily could've won the first 6-2. 4 40-40 points in the 1st and won 1 (1st game). They were also up 40-0 in 2 of those games. Went 1/6 on 40-40 points :/
