You can post dual match results here involving teams that don't already have a specific conference thread.

That's decided upon by both teams before a match begins. The Auburn match was the same way, the only other match that didn't play out. I believe this happens on Sunday a lot because of travel. I know, for example, in SEC baseball, there is a curfew on Sunday, an inning can't start after a certain agreed upon time, when teams have tight travel plans.

LBS vs CAL POLY was finished irrespective of the outcome..

And I thought Pluskota was a doubles specialist...I guess I was

wrong

UF still experimenting doubles lineup
You are so hung up on teams still experimenting with doubles teams. MANY teams do it

Lol. They won the doubles point last year and still lost 4 singles matches. Though it's true that UF goes into the match having won 5 and 6, while Stanford goes in having won 3 and 4. Whoever wins two out of three doubles, 1 singles and 2 singles wins the match.

Miami vs. DukeFriday, April 15, 5PM, Coral Gables, FL

Doubles

1. Bianca Eichkorn and Anna Bartenstein vs. Ellah Nze and Rachel Kahan

Ellah and Rachel are 6-6 in conference. Bianca and Anna are 19-2. I'd be pretty shocked if we won this match. Prediction: Miami

2. Melissa Bolivar and Gabriela Mejia vs. Nadine Fahoum and Hanna Mar

Melissa and Gabi are 5-5 in conference. Nadine and Hanna are 7-2. Nadine and Hanna play very well together. I think we win. Prediction: Duke

3. Brittany Dubbins and Daneille Mills vs. Monica Gorny and Mary Clayton

This position will decide the doubles point. Brittany and Danielle are 7-2. Monica and Mary are 7-1. I think the doubles point is going to be critical here. Given that it's Miami's home court, I'll predict Miami

Doubles Point:Miami

Singles

1. #6 Bianca Eichkorn vs. #38 Nadine Fahoum

Nadine has played well lately, but Bianca has looked flawless all year and is undefeated in conference play. I'd be thrilled if Nadine won, but prediction: Miami

2. #45 Anna Bartenstein vs. #80 Ellah Nze

Miami almost always wins the first two singles positions. I think Anna's going to win, though I hope Ellah pulls it out. Prediction: Miami

3. #120 Kayla Rizzolo vs. #18 Reka Zsilinska

Rule #1 of Duke tennis: Reka never loses, especially if the match is on the line. Miami might play Gabriela Mejia here. It won't matter. Reka will win. Prediction: Duke

4. Gabriela Mejia vs. #58 Liz Plotkin

How will Liz respond to her first loss? Gabi really doesn't have the weapons to hurt Liz. She just waited at the baseline for Mary to miss last year. If Liz plays well, she'll win, but I don't know how Liz will play. I've never seen Rizzolo play so I don't know how she'd do. Liz looked pretty passive against Ga Tech. I hope she can pull this out. Prediction: Duke

5. Danielle Mills vs. Rachel Kahan

This is Duke's winningest player against Miami's worst player. I expect a blowout. I saw Mills play last year, and she couldn't keep a ball in the court. Prediction: Duke

6. Melissa Bolivar vs. Mary Clayton

This match is hard to predict. Bolivar is 9-1 in ACC. Clayton is 7-1. I've never seen Bolivar play. I'm counting on Mary to win this one, but Melissa seems like quite the tough cookie. Prediciton: Duke

Final Score Duke--4 Miami--3

Miami will get 2 points out of 1 and 2 singles. Duke will get 2 points out of 3 and 5 singles. Doubles, 4 and 6 are harder to predict. I may be using wishful thinking to get us over the top. In my head, the more likely scenario is that the teams split 4 and 6 singles and whoever wins the doubles point wins the match. I can't get Bolivar's record out of my head. I hope Mary wins it for us, but I know Duke really hates playing at Miami because they always get a good, rambunctious crowd at their matches. We very well may lose 2-5. I'll be thrilled if we win!

Matt underestimates his own team. Duke wins the doubles point!

1. #6 Bianca Eichkorn/Anna Bartenstein def. #66 Ellah Nze/Rachel Kahan 8-3. Winner: Miami

2. #81 Hanna Mar/Nadine Fahoum def. Gabriela Mejia/Melissa Bolivar 9-8. Winner: Duke

3. Mary Clayton/Monica Gorny def. Danielle Mills/Brittany Dubins 8-5. Winner: Duke

I watched the last game of the first and all of the second of Catherine's match. She played really well, but Mallory was just slamming winners. Give Mal a short ball and it's over. Catherine fought really hard though and battled amazingly that second set.
