Sally Peers is an exciting new talent from Melbourne, Victoria. At the age of 16, Peers has already won 2 ITF Junior Girls Singles Titles, 5 ITF Junior Girls Doubles Titles, represented Australia in the 2005 World Junior Tennis Competition, 2005 Maureen Connolly Brinker Cup and, of course, the victorious 2007 Junior Fed Cup event.
Throughout this season, Sally has also reached the singles final at the Air Pacific Oceania Closed (beating Tyra Calderwood, 6-1, 6-2 in the semi finals) and the quarter finals of a Grade 1 ITF Junior tournament in Malaysia (where she beat top 20 junior, Kai-Chen Chang). She also qualified for Junior Wimbledon and has a WTA Ranking.

Don't know anything about this girl but Sally won easily just as she should have. Pretty good chance to qualify here.
Tough ask to play two matches in a day but I still think that she should have won this. Hope that she can rack up a few wins with Jarka in doubles.

Seoul Qualifying:
(2) Bojana Jovanovski vs. (WC) Hyojung Yea
Ye-Ra Lee vs. Sally Peers
Ling Zhang vs. (WC) Min-Hwa Yu
Karolina Wlodarczak vs. (8) Nuria Llagostera Vives
It is so exciting to see her playing WTA tournaments off her own ranking now. I hope she can do well here and in the next few weeks because her points from last years Aussie ITF's will start to come off.
Sally wins her Bronze medal match against Olivia 4-6 7-6(2) 6-3 Such an awesome experience for her.
Good shot for another medal in the doubles with Nastya.
Sally was just speaking on the playoff stream. She said that she was basically run-down after a long season and was advised to take a few weeks off and thats why she missed the playoff.
Her schedule for the summer will be: Brisbane - Hobart or Sydney - AO
There is an article written by Sally in the Tennis Magazine (the US one I think) on her run at the US Open. Good one and a nice read if you can find it
