Woz played great this week. And both gals sweated it out today.
However, in the end Angie went for more and appeared to be the more determined ball striker when Woz was her usual "Wall Of Woz" self (though she did go for it more on her backhand at various times earlier in the match).
You are right. Kerber has shown lately, she slowly but surely gets her nerves together. Just imagine, Kerber with a GS trophy just before Help and Woz. That would make my day. Beating Makarova, Sharpie and Woz in 1 tournament is a sign of coming excellence.
YES!! Angie did it! She is the German star of the week again and also the WTA play of the week and now she will be the WTA player of the month and if she keeps winning she can be the WTA play of the year! I'm just so proud of her and also remember she's from Germany! I'm the only person that had any faith in her and she proved everyone wrong and she did it, she won two premier titles on clay in a row and now she is back in the top 10 and a contender again for grand slams! What a superstar!
I know what highlight reel I will be watching again & again for the next weeks to come.
Bye, Wozniacki It's cringe-worthy seeing her get so tight at the end of the matches time & again. Doesn't deserve to win anything except Kuala Lumpur slam with that mentality.
