This girl from Latvia has been deserving of a thread for quite a while, and when this weeks 25K Padova SF points come through next Monday, she should be top 300 :)

Her best career results have been:
2009 Tallinn 10K W 12
2009 Telavi 25K QF 14
2011 Fallanden 10K F 8
2011 Athens 10K W 12
2011 Podgorica 25K QF 14
2012 Sunderland 25K QF 14
2012 Dijon 10K F 8
2012 Bath 25K SF + Q 25
2012 Caserta 25K QF + Q 15
2012 Padova 25K SF (In Progress) 24

She has also won 11 doubles titles (4 in 2012 Already), many at 25K level this year. Her doubles ranking is currently at its Career High of 249

She seems to be a very good player and I have seen a few of her matches on livestreams. She plays very aggressively and moves well but sometimes hits too many unforced errors and her defence can be lacklustre. Her service motion is very unorthodox and front on meaning she loses power but her timing is excellent. Against Anett Kontaveit and Aleksandra Krunic she served 14 Aces  which is amazing for a girl who isn't very tall. She has had wins over Anne Kremer, Anna Floris, Anett Kontaveit, Lina Stanciute, Lenka Wienerova, Dia Evtimova Catalina Castano and Anastasia Grymalska. In general, her best result have come on the clay in Italy but she has also done well on British Indoor Hard. Her main problem is consistency as one week she will lose 1st round of a 10K and then make the Semis of a 25K. Let's hope she can get some consistency and move up the rankings :)

Diana has made MD in Stuttgart  :cheer: :inlove: And with some amazing wins :cheer:

First she beat Pfizenmaier then Lim and finally won a thriller vs Katka Siniakova 7-5 2-6 7-5 in which she came back from a deficit in the 3rd :yeah: :cheer:

In MD, she will play against Pavlyuchenkova which is not a good draw but she is prone to having horrible days :) Hopefully she can do something like what ANna Lapuschenkova did a few years back :)

Something else astonishing has happened: She and Sasha Sasnovich beat the 3rd Seeds Pavlyuchenkova and Srebotnik 5-7 6-3 10-8 :inlove: :cheer: :sobbing: I can't believe they won and could now make a SF :D This has already been a week to remember :)
