Welcome to Memphis, USA! One of the few remaining indoor events on tour is known for its long tradition and southern hospitality, making this decision very popular with players. However, it has been announced that 2012 will be the last year of this tournament, so therefore the stakes are increased tremendously as each team in the draw will know that they are vying to be the last champions here ever. The top seeds, Czechs Andrea Hlaváčková and Lucie Hradecká won this tournament last year and will be tough to beat in their return. However, the third-seeded tandem of Kiwi Marina Erakovic and Brit Heather Watson have been coming on strong lately and will certainly look to have their own say in the matter. There are also several Americans in action, such as Megan Moulton-Levy, who is teaming up with Latvian Līga Dekmeijere as the fourth seeds, which shows how exciting the final staging of this event will be.
