Petra will win more slams. The question is will she win more slams outside of wimbledon. My guess is yes and her likeliest would be Ao. Her record at Us open so far just shows she's less likely to win there. She would need to improve her movement massively to win on FO

Re: Will Kvitova ever reach a non-Wimbledon GS final?

i love petra...but it's looking less and less likely...unless she's willing to retool parts of her game

in 2012, she was high on confidence from that 2011 run and took advantage of some great draws at AO and FO...she was able to outhit her opponents until the SF...but then she ran into Sharapova both times at the AO and FO and got into trouble

at AO, she could have won that match if she was smarter on BP opportunities...i think Petra thought she could just outhit Maria again like in the Wimby final and win the match, which really cost her the match

at FO, Maria outmaneuvered Petra w/ her great footwork on clay...Petra's footwork was horrendous and clumsy in that match and all tournament long

Clay is always going to be the most difficult for Petra because of the footwork/sliding & endurance of longer rallies involved

Petra has a shot at AO and USO if she becomes a more consistent ball striker...i mean she's never gonna have great defense...but she can learn about proper shot selection and the % plays when she's out of position or she has BP chances...there's no reason why Petra can't be consistent off the ground like how Davenport was
