Most journalists are afraid to cover Samantha's behavior because she's a very scary woman. Inside story (I will not reveal my source  ): a few years after Alex's fluke Wimby SF, Samantha shouted and harangued the WTA into giving Alex a whole page in their annual book, something normally reserved for the top stars, which Alex at the time was emphatically NOT. And how do you think she kept getting WCs, years and years after she no longer deserved them? Last year at the AO some poor reporter dared to write a couple sentences about Alex's poor movement and unimpressive play -- and the next day he published an apology for his words! I wanted to write to ask him how exactly Samantha had intimidated him into his weak apology, but his e-mail address wasn't attached to the article.

I don't think Samantha wants articles like this one, though.  What they want is to see Alex interviewed in prestigious publications, interviews where Alex can give full play to her fantasies about reaching the level she deserves to be at -- top 5, at least -- and where the reporter plays along instead of applying any observational or critical thinking skills, God forbid.

What a pair! Mother and daughter are an example of the worst on the WTA and the ITF pro circuit. But the good news about is that time is running against them. Can't wait for AS to retire and get a life!
