Standings will be updated weekly here: http://www.usta.com/Pro-Tennis/Pro-Circuit/2015_us_open_wild_card_challenge_standings/

In the USTA Pro Circuit's US Open Wild Card Challenge, the American man and American woman who earn the most ATP World Tour and WTA ranking points at various USTA Pro Circuit hard-court events will receive wild cards to compete in the US Open main draw. The US Open Wild Card Challenge consists of the following events:

USTA Pro Circuit Women’s Events:
$50,000 Stockton, Calif. (week of July 13)
$50,000 Sacramento, Calif. (week of July 20)
$50,000 Lexington, Ky. (week of July 27)

Marand is the current leader having reached semis in Stockton but she's withdrawn from Lexington.

Strange for the discussion to not include Brengle, Min, Townsend, Glatch etc. A different set of contenders than past US WC races.
Brengle is #39 why would she need a MD WC? Min, Townsend, Glatch simply didn't enter Stockton/Sacramento/Lexington

Alicia who?

Looks like it will come down to Ahn, Brady, Loeb, Lao, and Muhammad. If Austin got 29 pts last week for wins up to SF, an R3 win by any of these girls should eliminate Austin and Marand.

^ thanks, they don't have the MD on the main website yet. She faces a decent R1 opponent in Foretz, who was a finalist in Quebec last week. And Hibino gets up to #2 seed! Hope she gets her energy back, it was looking low in Sacremento.

^^ R1 losses for both Ahn and Bellis so they are out.
Wins by Brady and Loeb, but Brady ahead as Loeb was a Qualifier match.

Cici
Lao
Embree
Ahn
Loeb
Muhammad

All out 1R

Still in the tournament:

Sanchez (into 2R - plays winner of Crawford/Botto)
Crawford (playing Botto 1R currently)
Elbaba (into 2R - will play Brady next round)
Brady (into 2R - Will play Elbaba next round)
Oudin (yet to play her 1R match - plays Hozumi tonight)
Chang (into 2R - will play Frenkel next round)
Frenkel (into 2R - will play Chang next round)
Pegula (into 2R - will play Hibino next round)

The WC race is a mess currently :hysteric:
