I noticed that Kiki did not have her own thread. But after her recent results I think she deserves one.

Re: Kiki Bertens

(NED)Kiki Bertens def. (GBR) Naomi Broady 7-6(11) 7-6(5)! :woohoo:

She did it! :D

Go Kiki :yeah:

Semi will be difficult though. Most probably vs. Keothavong whom she lost
to last week in Barnstaple and who is her doubles partner at this tournament.
But very happy that she already made it this far :yeah:

Re: Kiki Bertens

Great win today :D

Really good to see she is able to win such a close, tough match :yeah:

Re: Kiki Bertens

Great win :bounce:

Broady fired 13 aces, of which four in a row in a love game

TB1 saw Broady leading 4-1 and 6-4. Kiki converted her 3rd SP after Naomi didn't convert her 5 SPs.
TB2 saw Broady leading 3-0, then Kiki came back and took the match on her 2nd MP

Now probably vs Keothavong :scared:

Re: Kiki Bertens

So today the SF vs her doubles partner (3) Anne Keothavong (WTA: 83).

It will be a very tought match. Anne is having great results the last couple of the weeks. Hope she serves like yesterday :oh:
Match starts this afternoon at 14.00 hrs CET. Today she will also play the doubles SF.

Good luck today Kiki :cheer:

Re: Kiki Bertens

Kiki and Anne are in the doubles final :yeah:

They def the top seeds KLEMENSCHITS (AUT) / MALEK (GER) 3-6 6-3 10-3 :D

Tomorrow the final against the nr 2 seeds BARROIS (GER) / MEUSBURGER (AUT).

So both Anne and Yvonne are in the singles and doubles final!

Re: Kiki Bertens

Kiki :woohoo: It would be great to end the year with the biggest doubles title of her career :) It will be tough though...
Kiki and Anne did it :woohoo:

They def the nr 2 seeds BARROIS (GER) / MEUSBURGER (AUT) 6-3 6-3 :yeah:

Nice to see her end her season with a SF in singles and a doubles title in a 50k :)

Also a nice experience for her to be playing doubles with Anne here this week :)

So she can now enjoy her holiday and hopefully we will see her at the Dutch Masters :cheer:

Re: Kiki Bertens

Kiki playing 50k Ankara this week, she stepped on the plane this morning.

Her Section:

(5)Caroline Garcia (FRA) v Elena Bogdan (ROU)
(wc)Naz Karagoz (TUR) v Q/LL
Kiki Bertens (NED) v Severine Beltrame (FRA)
(2)Alexandra Cadantu (ROU) v (SR)Katalin Marosi (HUN)

First round vs. Severine Beltrame(WTA: 263). Should win that one. :)

Next round vs. Cadantu most probably. (WTA: 109) Will be difficult though

Re: Kiki Bertens

(LL) Polina Pekhova (19yo, WTA: 366) replaced Beltrame. She's pretty good indoors (well for her ranking anyway) but it should be a win.

Re: Kiki Bertens

Kiki def (LL)Polina Pekhova (BLR) 6-0 7-5 :)
