Some of the Russian girls are pretty enough and slim enough to be fashion models. I was perusing through junior tennis website, when I checked out the 2000 Prince Cup draw. I saw the name of Darya Titkova, the then 14 year old girl I have never heard of before. Junior tennis had a little story on her. Since I had never heard of her, I typed her name into the Google search engine. Just as I has done several months ago with Maria Kirilenko. I didn't come up with any tennis stories. But instead Darya Titkova the model came up on Google. This amazed me. Because I was expecting tennis news. Darya is pretty enough to be a model. I wondered if anyone knows if she gave up tennis for modeling. This is the same way I research any other player. I go to Google and type in their name. I was shocked when Darya the model came up. The model bio says that she is a fit model. And Darya the model doesn't have chicken legs like most fashion models. This girl has the legs of a tennis player. That model looks like it could be Darya. Does anyone know if it is? And is she playing tennis anymore?

very interesting. looking at her pictures, i must ask myself, didnt cat say shes 14? oh yes, it confirms it right here in her profile. thats interesting...id stick to tennis for a few more years. but yes, she is quite beautiful

NejedlyKanepi, it sounds like you would like to play mixed doubles with Darya. Yes? James, little buddy, I bet you're a very good tennis player. It is amazing that Darya apparently gave up tennis for modeling. Maybe she can do both. But I doubt it. It would be too difficult. Whatever she is doing, I wish her good luck. Udachi Darya!

P.S. - James, why are using so many four letter words? Are you rebelling against something?

i think the same in many ways tenn_ace. but theres hardly a difference in darya's and my age <img src="graemlins/lick.gif" border="0" alt="[Lick]" />

cat, yes, i try very hard in my tennis and hopefully it will carry me through college and keep my happy for a very long time as well. but i have a feeling im nowhere as good as girls competing at international levels! id be like, yeah hi, can you serve a little slower, and just hit the ball up the middle so i could hit the damn thing <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> very good news though, our new coach loves my playing technique! <img src="cool.gif" border="0"> (a la ferrero)

back to darya!!! she gots it, she has every right to flaunt it. until she gets an ego, egotistical girls are so unattractive <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0"> because there are plenty of beautiful, and NICE, girls. so they really need to get ove rit. you know what i mean? hopefully darya does not be a bitch because she shouldnt make herself ugly because she is pretty. can you follow my train of thoughts?

Oh Eggy! I do not spend all of my spare time looking up Russian girls on search engines. I'm highly offended! Well, not really! I've spent alot more time looking up writers, doctors and historic world renowned people on search engines, than I have Russian girls, as you put it. I've also searched for Dmitri Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny on Google, and come up with some good information on them. But it's harder to find decent information on the likes of Maria Kirilenko, etc. There just isn't much information through the junior tennis websites. So, that's where the search engines come in to play. This is the case with Darya Titkina. I recently saw a little story junior tennis did on her at the 2000 Prince Cup. I had never heard of her before. That's where Google came into play. So Eggy, you don't think that's Darya? There probably aren't alot of Darya Titkina's in Russia, who are 14, and spell their name D-a=r-y-a. Right? Eggy, had you heard of Darya before?

I haven't heard of Darya Titkina before either, just from her profile, but I hope to hear alot more of her in the tennis courts.

Darya ( Dasha) is a very commpn name in Russia.

Eggy, apology accepted. I hope she still plays tennis. Darya is a common Russian name. But spelled D-a-r-i-a. Right? I would rather Darya play tennis, instead of model. But the money for modeling must have changed her mind.

P.S. - Tenn_ace, I agree with you that her modelling photos are a little too provacative for such a young girl. Perhaps even a little too Lolita-ish. Maybe it's the Britney Spears effect on society.
