Where should your right leg (right-handed player) be at the end of yoru serve?

Does it help to have the leg completely bent so the foot is almost touching your behind like Sharapova for example?

I don't think it's necessary for an effective weight shift unless you find it natural and reactive. I prefer smooth landing as it gives less shock to my ankle and knee.
