Re: Estonian Tennis

There's a reason why every Estonian girl hates playing against Burk. Amazing ability to frustrate opponents and make them play far below their level.

Yeah they all play really badly against her I remember when she beat Mia Nicole and choked against Tatja + Smashed Erika Is it that she is kinda like Kerber Because she doesn't frustrate them in a Sharapova like way

BTW, is there a recording because I know there is of Day 1 but I want to see the Women's Final

EDIT: Found on Spordi Kanal

I am hoping that Birgit's ability to annoy players will help her to get Pro Circuit wins

Re: Estonian Tennis

I made a premature thread for Fed Cup Based on the way ETL is going hopefully tehre will be streaming of Estonian matches

http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?p=35832233

Out of curiosity, are there any young players (like 10s or so) whoa re thought to possibley be as good as the likes of Anett? And when was it first noticed that Anett was good?

When she was 12 and played against Liina Suurvarik in her first senior Estonian championship.

Re: Estonian Tennis

It's impossible to say how good they become

Carol Plakk looks good. Especially when she plays against bigger girls

Sofija Tšeklistova, Jelena Malõgina, Maileen Nuudi, Anette Mäelt, Maria Elena Pliznik, Hella Linda Sepman, Yvonne Pärn, Helena Narmont, Lissi Kubre. There might be a future pro (or two) among them.

I always see the name and have stalked her Tennis Europe results, but they are not that good IMO She is 11 right? Do you think that generation looks better than the current Juniors/Pros?

Nothing extraordinary. Just the fact that Liina was in so much trouble and had to resort to moonballing to overcome little kid.

Highlights were on TV, but I don't think it's available anywhere.

Several specialists are saying that the current kids are really good and talented. But like I said, it's impossible to say how good they become.

Re: Estonian Tennis

LEL at Valeria

There was a stage when Estonia should have had a WTA tournament IMO or at least a bigger ITF
Still I really love the Estonian media and how they hype the sport and country Also, Australians have caught onto "wunderkid"

BTW, does anyone know why Anett deleted her tweet And is the quality of coaching considered good in Estonia because I have heard Hogstedt say so and both Kaia and Anett have done well with domestic coaches

Re: Estonian Tennis

Meelis, is Margit coming back even in some form?

Also, is Alexander Georg Mandma really good or is his generation particularly weak because even though he has dominant domestic results his Tennis Europe results are average...

She will accompany Victoria Zukowski, I guess.

Don't know much about Mandma. Some people say that he has lots of talent, but I haven't see him play.
