Re: Wimbledon Chat Thread: The Lawn of Dreams

I have never been so fed up with tennis in my life. I had too much over the last two years, I want to go back watching only slams finals -.-
The last three days it's like someone throwed me out of bed while dreaming and suddenly started beating me to a pulp with a stick.
I want to shut down everything from twitter to tf and forget. -.-

What, I didn't hear that. Why are so many of my faves so unlucky?

And this loser will continue to cheer her on because I'm a Scorpio and we're some loyal motherfuckers.

Is that the reason I can't stop thinking about Maria even if tennis just gave me anger?

Re: Wimbledon Chat Thread: The Lawn of Dreams

Only 4 of the top 10 women managed to make it to the 3rd round, which is the lowest total in any Grand Slam in the Open era. And that goes back to 1968. What a wonderful Wimbledon.

And 8th seeded Kvitova is currently down 1-2 in the 3rd set of her suspended match. Agi will be playing the hyped Keys and Li, who was shaky in her 2nd round, will be playing the sometimes tricky Zakopalova. So, who knows, maybe Serena could be the last top 10 standing after tomorrow.

And no shock at all that de Brito flopped hard out of the tournament today.

Well that depends. Are you a Scorpio otherwise I don't think that's it.

I will say this: Maria is much better at getting over losses than we are!

Re: Wimbledon Chat Thread: The Lawn of Dreams

Can't believe Sabine lost the first set to Sam. Most shocking result of the tournament for me...

..but things are going back in order as she leads 5-2 in the second.

Re: Wimbledon Chat Thread: The Lawn of Dreams

8 of the 10 3rd round matches played today have gone 3 sets. Only Vinci, Kanepi, and, soon, Serena will have won theirs routinely.

Not much separating most of who's left, which is expected given how many top players are gone. I could call it rampant mediocrity in this Serena Williams Invitational tournament, formerly known as Wimbledon, but I'll try not to sound bitter.

Re: Wimbledon Chat Thread: The Lawn of Dreams

So many of my highlights just blocked and gone just like that.... I've had to removed around 60-70 videos from my youtube accounts. I'm done with them.

Honestly I wouldn't mind watching Serena crush Lisicki.

You'll get your wish. One dimensional power players like Sabine are the kind Serena eats for breakfast. You can't beat Serena with just hard, flat shots, as we've seen way too many times when Maria plays her. There's nothing Sabine can provide that would get her off-balance and out of rhythm.

Maybe Lisicki can win some games with that big serve and a few well placed groundies. But Serena will overwhelm her eventually with her superior power and skill.

There is no match for Serena.. She might be like this or that, but Wimbledon is her's... And so is almost the whole year...
