MTF's rule for bashing a player

In the last few days MTF has introduced a rule to eliminate player's bashing in the results thread and in GM in general. It can be found here: http://www.menstennisforums.com/show...8#post15552698

As for TF, in GM we only have this rule not to bring unrelated player's name into the results thread, a rule that was strongly enforced in the first weeks of its existence but now it seems to be forgetten by the moderators.
Are TF's mods planning to create a rule similar to MTF's? I think it would be useful to some extent and would help to eliminate useless posts like: I'm glad this bitch/piece of trash is out.
I would like to see some action taken against people who call players bitches and trash. It's disrespectful and deregatory to say the least

I agree. We understand that mods can't track every single post but we do need stronger moderation and also i think more moderators or admins in GM are needed IMHO
I joined this forum not that long time ago but I already noticed so much harsh bashing of players

Re: MTF's rule for bashing a player

There are differences between both boards, so we don't automatically copy their policies. Which is not to say that player bashing is not an important issue for us and we discuss on a regular basis how to best tackle this. The current GM rules reflect this (not just the more recently added policy). We will see if our policies need updating. Player bashing is still not allowed, with or without a specific policy.

Regarding moderation: As much as some people may not like to hear it, we can't be everywhere. It greatly helps us if issues are brought to our attention using the report button.

Yes, I know we are two seperate boards but there's nothing wrong in copying good ideas. Anyways, thanks for replying James.
