I don't care if she wins Rome. I just want her to be challenged and have some good matches, and I want her draw to be challenging.

I wouldn't mind her meeting players like Suarez Navarro, Vinci, Kerber in Rome. I know Kerber isn't that good on clay, but she is still consistent. It would be a good test for Sarin.

Seriously, though, if she just came to net on clay, (as funny as it may sound) she'd be 25% more effective. Even vs. Razzano last year - if she just tried to volley, she would have won.
So much truth.

I DEF want Vinci in Rome.

That botched half volley on BP in the final game.

UGH I remember she hesitated before coming in because she thought she hit a return winner

she needs to come to the net way more on clay. She has been effective everytime she goes there. I also agree that i want a hard draw at Rome, the more clay-courters, the better.

Re: Serena's Madrid Cheering Thread

She definitely needs more matches on clay against true blue dirtballers. Might even be good for her to lose a match before RG. Last year, I said at the start of Rome that being on a winning streak would put extra pressure on her at RG. I think the same applies this year

Hopefully she gets all the shit out of her system now. That was some mess, but we persevered.

I was watching on my laptop in my car. I was screaming like a damn fool.

Re: Serena's Madrid Cheering Thread

I was screaming for that entire 20 minute game. I thought I was going to die.

And then I kept accepting the fucking defeat. I was like, "okay it's fine.." And then when I would make peace with the loss, Serena would make balls.

Then I would get back into it. And then she would flop. Then I turned it off for 3 minute and she still hadn't loss. Just a mess.

Re: Serena's Madrid Cheering Thread

What i saw in Serena today, granted i was a sleep for the first 2 set's. Is that she remained calm, no Cmon's hardly any fist pump's. Even her post match celebration was muted.
Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

Good. She needs to practice staying calm for RG, but the theatrics will undoubtedly come out there regardless.
