Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
She should be back the 4 march in Sutton (10k-GBR) and she probably planned to play the two 15k in the following weeks Hope she can stay fine this time

Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
After yesterday's (close...) win against Tara Moore, 1st seed, she won today against Kostova from Bulgaria. 6-3 and 6-4. If she can stay healthy, she could go far. A very good result, considering she hasn't had any competition in two months. And Moore hadn't lost a match yet this year (but had to give up in Mexico last week because of foodpoisoning).

Yes you are correct. I should have added "indoor".

Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
Congrats An-Sophie! After another (almost) 3 hour match on court, a win against a former WTA 78! Zahlavova had 12 wins in a row and won the two last tournaments she played (a 15.000$ and a 25.000$). It was a tough match for sure now (again). An-Sophie won 7-6 in the first, lost 6-4 in the second and was 4-2 behind in the third... and then won 4 games in a row. It's a very nice result so far! Keep on going An-Sophie!

Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
I knew she liked those marathons in 3 sets Anso always looked so great physically (her body) so i never understood those severe injuries But you never know what can happen in life anyway x) But what a week already, i don't even expected her to beat Moore and now this! That's quite huge considering her situation Can we please all pray for her as she can avoid another big injury this year? ^^ GL in SF Anso, Smitkova is a great server so it could be another tough and long match..

Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
Yes you are correct Sam, Smitkova made 9 aces. But also 5 double faults. She made 102 service points and An-Sophie 75. It was another 2.5 hour match, 3-set-marathon that went "up and down". 3 out of 4 matches were "close". Tomorrow against Vogt is another challenge. Hopefully An-Sophie can add another win... Good luck in any case and well done so far.

Re: An-Sophie Mestach Cheering Thread
She lost the final to Voght. Stephi is too good for this 10k tournaments, no shame she lost this match.
