A native of Los Angeles. Buried at Forest lawn Cemetary in LA (per Find a Grave). Her husband Joe was a tournament official at Ojai.

Was the 1962 USTA girls' national champion for 16 year olds and won the girls' national doubles hard-court title the following year. She won the USTa girls Sportsmanship trophy in 1964.She went to USC..
She played Wimbledon 3 times (1965-67), reaching the 3R in 1967 and QF in mixed doubles in 1965. She also advanced to the quarterfinals of the women's doubles in one of her five appearances in the U. S. Open.
In addition, Kathy, 42, has a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest women's match in history--a grueling 62-game match against Elena Subirates that Blake won, 12-10, 6-8, 14-12 at Piping Rock in 1966.
After Wimbledon 1967 she played sporadically as late as 1973, when she was still listed a Kathy Blake of Arlington, Virginia.

Twin sons Bob and Mike Bryan (born 29 April 1978) a world #1 doubles team. Husband Wayne #1 at UC Santa Barbara. Listed as playing for the Pittsburgh Triangles in WTT in 1974.
