Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
TWD has definitely passed it's peak at this stage, but it's still good television.
I just read season 4 will also have 16 episodes. I'm not really happy with this decision. A long season is great but perhaps season 3 has proven that with TWD a length of 10-13 episodes may be better so as to not suspend the excitement too much.
Oh well, enough complaining. Next episode should be fun if the preview is to go by. There's still 4 more episodes including the next one to go, and Rick is already heading to Woodbury for the confrontation with Gov though? It makes you wonder how the hell they're going to make that last for four whole episodes .

I Just watched season 1 again and found out if it was not a huge hit they would of all blown up in the CDC, when Jackie died they would of blown them all up but it was a hit.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
I really liked this most recent episode, even if it obviously was a bit filler-ish. Nice to see Morgan back again (although it was really obvious from the "Previously on..." at the beginning, I hate that ) and hopefully a) Rick won't be so crazy anymore now that he knows what crazy really is and b) Michonne is finally "in" with the group.

I also liked last episode.
It's all still very much interesting, Andrea better shows loyalty to her old group again and redeem herself by killing governor.
If not then hope she is next one to go.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
I actually loved last nights episode for many reasons.
Michonne finally gets some character development and I loved it. "The mat said welcome." was a great line.
Carl is such an annoying character. I get that hes a young kid growing up in a world gone to shit but he just comes off as an incessant twat. I dont think we are supposed to hate him but most everyone does.
The actor who plays Morgan is phenomenal. The scene describing how his son went was insanely powerful. I sort of teared up and its hard to get me to do that. I thought that was top notch tv right there and the reason I loved this show from the get go.
Totally called that guy being dead on the way home at the very beginning of the episode. I understand this is a different world they live in but it bothers me that they treat outsiders like this. It bothered me in season 2 with Randal, bothered me last week with Andrea, and it bothers me in scenes like last nights. Oh well, Ill just have to accept and move on.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
I found it interesting how Carl and Duane's situation almost mirrored/opposed each other, in a sense. Interesting contrast. Another theme throughout the show: You will have to kill the ones closest to you/the ones you love?
I really enjoyed last night's episode. The finally allowed Michonne to be something other than a scowling, bitter black woman. THANK GOD.
I don't like Carl. He always seems to be overcompensating...and the actor who's playing him isn't a great actor. I'm just saying.

Nice episode. Obvously, kinda of a fillesque one yet not in an unbearable or boring way.

Oh, well, at least he is better than the actress portraying the baby. She is doing such a shitty job.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
I enjoyed it too. I was glad that Michonne got to be a bit funny and that she got to show her good side to Rick n Carl.
Whyyyyyy didn't Morgan go with them? They could really use his help and we don't know what will become of him now. I hope he turns up again - maybe to help them.
So great that super-Rick can lug all those heavy guns around on his shoulder with the stab wound. I wish they wouldn't get injured so much because the recovery time of these worn out, undernourished people is just far too speedy!! Which one of them hasn't been shot, stabbed or beaten within an inch of their life [the answer is Carol (after her husband died) she still has her 9 lives pretty much intact!]

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
It's rumored that 2 characters are going to die this season. I'm thinking it's going to be Beth and Judith. I'm hoping it's Rick and Carl. Or Carol and Meryl.

They were assholes for leaving that guy behind. You can't trust anyone in that world though.
OK episode overall.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Season 3 Sundays on AMC!
I disagree about them being assholes for leaving the guy behind. This is a post-apocalyptic world, and they have no idea if the guy is dangerous, insane, or unstable. They tried to help Randall, and he was part of a band of criminals, rapists and murderers. Rick was so naive to help him because if he'd gotten free, he definitely would have brought back his gang to pillage Herschel's farm. Also, remember when Carl saved Tyrese and his gang? Two of the people in that gang wanted to kill everyone and take the prison for themselves. The show has established that even if you rescue people, it doesn't mean they won't murder you. If Tyrese and his sister (or is it daughter or girlfriend? I can't remember) had not been good people, then Carl, Herschel, etc. would have been brutally murdered.
And this season also revealed to us that Meryl and Darryl were planning to rob the entire camp. It is very risky to trust people in this world.
I think we aren't being intellectually honest with ourselves about how we would react. I doubt almost any of us pick up hitchhikers in the real world because we are nervous about it, much less if we were in a dog-eat-dog world full of instability, murder and savagery.
