This is the typical case for the ridiculous WTA Media Information System.
It seems that they didn't know the new rules [the rules has changed compared to Rulebook 2012]
Generally these scores don't matter at the YEC. However, in Kvitova's case, it may count and matter in some occasions, and that's why they changed the rules.
Anyway, I will try to send an email to Kelly Frey of WTA (KFrey@wtatennis.com) for further clarification.
