One thing I noticed while watching the match yesterday was that Wozniacki was being much more aggressive than usual which was obvious in the second, but throughout the match she was also making a lot of errors (overhitting, shanking), hence the total winner-error count at the end of the match. I don't know if it had to do with Radwanska, but I also thought Caro's defense had deteriorated compared to her defense in 2010/2011. Maybe she would have been more competitive had she went back to her old playing style.

Not true. It´s two. Dementieva #3 in 2009 and Zvonareva #2 in 2010. I´ll bookmark this, because I know I have done it before, so here is the breakdown:

Poor Caro knew that she will have to step in and be aggressive to have a slimmest chance against Aga. That was suicide. I truly hope Caro will be able to develop some middle ground in her game. Obviously, she has to do it slowly and in a controlled way without killing herself.

Aga's problem is that she is small and fragile, and just can't generate enough power, thus, she is a pusher because she has no other options. ,

Caro, on the other hand, is a big and strong girl. One could think she should be capable to bash the ball at will as much as other bashes do. She is a pusher for no reason, there is no strategic justification in her case to be so defensive. The reason must be that she was trained to be ultra defensive when she was developing her tennis as a child. Shame on you, Piotr!!!
