Either way, it's a lose/lose situation for her. If she loses, then she's getting beaten by an out of form, flu-ridden Serena; if she wins, I'm sure Serena is going to want to skull drag her the next 5-10 times they play each other.

I know unrealistic, but i have a feeling that serena may give a walkover as she got what she wanted and she is not feeling well. Dnt think she would like to lose the first match she plays after securing no.1. And even if she plays,she might not be that motivated. So,masha,please this is your best chance. I'm always nervous when these two play each other, all conventional wisdom be damned. Even if Maria sneaks in a win here the H2H is still 3-10 and Serena still utterly owns her, but her fans will proclaim it one of the biggest wins of her career and all that jazz. It just feels like there's always a lot on the line when they play.

Watching Serena/Kvitova on TTC Serena just looks so out of it. This is Maria's chance.

If she was that bad she wouldn't have beat Kvitova who was playing terrific tennis. And yes, you can pray for a beatdown and not for a good tennis match you're obviously a Serena fan first.

They are both messy .... To challenge even this Serena Martha should be at least in the from of YEC2012, but she isn't....
Match can be competitive if only Serena gives some hopes for Masha in the beginning of the match .... If it starts with an early break of Masha's serve, it's over
