Re: Maria in Doha 2013!
Come on guys don't be too much pessimistic, maybe she was just fatigued, why should we talk about year retirement or long period of rest.

That's true, in fact I still hope that she'll be able to play in Dubai.

Re: Maria in Doha 2013!
my guess is that she will be fine for Dubai. She was still able to go out and play 3 games without looking hurt in Doha. If it was a severe injury, she would not have gone out to play 3 games. Even in the 3 games she played, she was still hitting the ball clean.

Agreed. Skip Dubai and return at Indian Wells.

right, that's exactly what I thought too! so let's not be too pessimistic...I also think that she will be ready for Dubai after some days of rest
still, her body is quite fragile, and so it's a very good decision to skip doubles

it's always the same when she is in such a great shape...why does she always has to be so unlucky?
from the last 10 tournaments where she should have played, she had to retire/withdraw 5 times!!
september 2012, Seoul: retired
september 2012, Tokyo: withdrew
oct/nov 2012, Sofia: withdrew
february 2013, Doha: retired
february 2013, Dubai: withdrew

Re: Maria in Doha 2013!
As soon as she's in shape, she gets injured. Finally it's probably the main reason why she's not top 10...

Kiri's body is quite fragile. Especially her shoulders and arms. Kiri has alot of tennis in her body and joints her body must feel weary from time to time. The reality is Maria must be healthy to be able to win or even compete at a high level. It is time she hired her own personal trainer and massuese to travel with her and to help take care of her body.
I just checked Maria's twitter and she says she pulled out of Dubai. I am not surprised. I think Indian Wells is a possible return for her. Again she had no business even trying to play Doha when she was not feeling well and being tired. That was a costly mistake. Let's hope she learns from it and let's hope she returns by Indian Wells. Kiri deserves a rest and she needs it.

Re: Maria in Doha 2013!
A withdraw from Indian Wells would be a disaster.
I hope that these two weeks of rest will give her the possibility to get back in the best shape.
