Having now seen the match, I can see why Caro was frustrated with the lines call.
I am however not quite sure about the big drama. Did the lines person call the ball in, and a spectator yelled 'out'? That was the impression the TennisTV commentator gave. In which case, it wasn't an over-rule from the chair, but a rather generous replay for Caro. (Barthel won the next point, so it didn't really matter).
If the 'out' call was the lines person and chair over-ruled, I'd she the chair has a true eagle eye to be certain about that .. seeing as it was opposite side.
For the Danes, did you hear the : 'Hold nu kæft for helvede .... far'? I think it was at *5-4, 15-30

I think it was spectator who yelled 'out' There was some bad line calls in this match but still Caro should stop complaining so much

What can we expect from the Caro - Aga match tomorrow?
In Tokyo, Aga won because she was far more efficient than Caro at net, winning something like 18 of 20 points with sharp volleys. Caro's passing shots weren't quite up to the task and she had big trouble finishing off points. One of Aga's greatest strength is her ability to read the opponent, to guess where they'll hit their shots. She's particularly good at reading Caro because they know each other so well, so time and again she managed to run down an almost-winner from Caro until our girl missed.
Another big problem was Caro's inability to deal with Aga's many drop shots. It's not that Caro couldn't run them down, but Aga moved in behind her DS and guessed where Caro would hit her shot, finishing off the point with an easy ball to the open court.
These are the areas where Caro must be sharp tomorrow: 1) Depth and angles on her shots to make it difficult for Aga to come to the net or hit drop shots. 2) More efficient volleys, try to disguise them better to make it less easy for Aga to read you. 3) Stay close to the baseline and be ready to run down drop shots at any time so you'll get to the ball before it drops below netcord height, giving you more options. 4) Re-discover that great lob you once had. Even the best net-players can't volley a well executed lob.

This is a strange tournament. Caro, Vika, Aga & Petra all in QF with Serena, Maria, Stosur, Errani.
If Caro is going to make deep runs regularly, she will start playing Aga & Vika a lot more often. Those 2 have been very consistent over the last year and a half

Since I seem to be the last friend he has in this forum I will take a guess. He stopped posting here around the end of last season (October/November) so I would guess that was around the time that he stopped being a fan of Caroline.
