There's no real evidence that a minorly jetlagged Oudin would've been able to play better than Jamie on this surface. I'd venture the practice sessions would've been telling.
Without a confirmation of Beth or Madison declining or not being offered it's hard to comment on that.

It's 4 ties in 4 years, but I don't think it needs go be one a year? So, forseeably they could play 2 in one season and still get there.

Yeah It would be nice if we had atleast one Williams Sister to go up against Jo-La and Sofia.
1 Williams sister, Sloane, Varva and either Lisa or Huber for doubles sounds good to me. If both Williams sisters play then scratch Huber/Lisa and have Vee & Ree' play doubles

The tie is 5 weekends from now (including this weekend).
Sweden Our C team could beat them, but let's bring the A team to get momentum for 2014!
Serena, Venus, Varvara, Lisa would be my picks. Sloane deserves a good benching for being a diva and Varvara deserves a spot for recognition of her amazing effort in Italy. |
