This is exactly what am I talking about. You are an example of tipical reaction when you criticize Serbia these days. It's not a shame criticizing, the shame is how our society wastes young talents and disrespects the best ones.

Re: Going East for Success (February Thread)
Serbian press better get their shet together and treat her more respectfully unless they want to see her playing along Jean Rene Lisnard in Hopman Cup representing the principality of Monaco

As much as Ana is a weird girl, those things can't happen in this country. Dokic is a totally different case, so I'm sorry to disappoint you.

The point is she won't play FC for anyone. And if things continue like this, her career won't last for much longer, so Monaco will get nada.

Why are you reacting this like? It's not ok and you are not the only one. NO ONE sais that we want Ana to play for some other country, we just said it would be society's fault. And it would be.

I woke up this morning with a back-ache. It's Serbia's fault.

Nope, because she's playing for ordinary people at Fed Cup, not for media. Done.

Well, medias are product of society, and if you read comments on texts written by ordinary people as you said, you will see 85 percent of comments these days are aginst Ana. It is a huge shame.

who cares about FC anyway?I feel sorry for fans in Nis or our bulgarian friend here who couldnt watch her but the actual competition is just meaningless.Didnt Ana represent Serbia when she won French Open? Why is there this notion that only by playing in fed cup you represent your country..I bet Federer did much more for Switzerland by winning all those slams than by playing in Davis Cup(which doesnt happen often anyway)..but being from Greece i kinda understand, backward balkan mentality is prevalent also here.

Ah yes, the backward Balkanoids. Yet even the civilized Swiss are pissed at Federer for not playing DC.
The competition is second grade, but it still shows if you care or not.

I tried so many times to write something positive about Ana on Kurir portal, their mods never approved any of my comments. And I never wrote anything insulting.

That's because Kurir is a total crap. The sad thing is that even on websites of B92 or Blic, people are insulting her more and more.

It's the truth that people in Serbia don't know that much about tennis, so they often think that it's like basketball and in basketball it's really a disgrace to refuse to play in national team. FC is a joke, it's played every year, the best players skip it regularly, the FC schedule is horrible and they don't even get any points. Many people don't understand it.

Re: Going East for Success (February Thread)
FC is a joke and a pain in the ass for the players, but it's symbolic. The right way would be to make it into a once a year tournament, like YEC.

Or once in two years, even. None of the team competitions is every year. You have qualies tho.
