Couldn't get near a computer over the last week, but great job to Lucie for once again performing well in Fed Cup. Not a great draw with Azarenka, but third round wouldn't be horrible this week. Hopefully she isn't going to be tired.

Lucie beat Daniilidou 2 & 3

She won at least..nothing special, played solid on all wings...some blah errors but Daniilidou is weird to play, she throws in a lot of junk so it's difficult to get rhythm, plus it was windy. But good to get an easy win, her easiest this year.

McHale next I have nightmares of their AO12 match so I am not optimistic

When I saw McHale's recent results I thought she'll be easy to beat (She won only one match since Montreal...) but today she devastated Vera Dushevina so who knows... Lucie can't play like with Daniilidou to win this match

Congrats on the success at the weekend in Fed Cup for Lucie and Czech Republic, if only she could play there all the time...

It's always a positive if she beats any slightly unorthodox player and in windy conditions, so not too bad a win. That being said I fear the worst if it's windy on an outside court and Mchale get's every ball back at her...

Last year this tournament was a Premier so it had 32 Draw size, this year its P5 with 64 Draw Size.

No last year it was a P5, Lucie beat Ula, Caro and Sveta to make the QF. The year before it was a Premier when she beat Radwanska.
