maybe Garcia can play some good tennis, but she really needs a rusty Maria to get on top. And even then there is a huge chance she'll choke.

By the way, did you guys know Maria technically has a chance of getting to #1 this week?  Of course it's not going to happen (it would need Princessrenka and Serena to BOTH lose before the semis, AND Maria would need to take the title), but I'm honestly shocked she even has a chance, I thought she was miles behind

We also thought there wasn't a chance Vika would keep her #1 ranking after the AO, yet here we are  so I guess we'll see! But obviously 0 expectations

I'm actually rooting for that to happen. Anything to get the annoying drama queen out of that top ranking she never should have had if not for fluke injuries to Hampton and Serena. And then after being gifted the number one ranking, she, of course, gets a third injury that benefits her, giving her the Aussie Open on a silver platter.

I'm rooting for it to happen to TBH. I'd obviously rather Maria take it, but it would take a miracle for that to happen this week. Serena's the best there is, and the rankings should reflect that. When she does get back to #1 the rankings will be legitimate for the first time in ages.

OMG NANA. I'm obsessed with Of Monsters and Men. I've seen them live two times and she signed my arm. I almost died.
