Yup. Her screaming during that match was a little over the top (honestly the closest I've been to being annoyed by Maria), but she took that loss well and then went on a tear in the spring. That was really the first true example of Maria picking herself up after a crushing loss and moving forward like nothing happened.

Most of her Semipova losses in 05, 06 went to 3 sets. She fought in those matches much more than in recent finals

All but 1 of her 5 slam SFs in 2005-2006 were lost in three sets. Other than that unfortunate double bagel, I don't remember her getting thrashed by any top player pre-2007.

I dont either. I didnt mind semi pova. She was really young at the time and was beating everyone that she should of been beating and was only losing to the very best playing well.

Yup. Other than the Davenport mess the worst I can think of is Hingis beating her 3 and 1 in one of the middle-eastern tourneys in 06.

well, thats just sounds silly or makes her silly, especially 10year experience. I mean she (and every player) should be able to realize not every match the same and obviously has to step up against Li Na than agaisnt Makarova or Flipkins...
