Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Oh crap, Tammi vs. Monique and then most probably Viki (unless Karo gets in Im-not-gonna-miss-and-frustrate-the-crap-out-of-you mode)

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Good progress for Sanders so far, about time to earn that cred. No point whinging about the draws for rest, the girls can either play and make an impression or not... if they're sick of playing each other go overseas for some real competition and develop. If they're looking for TA WC hand outs or easy draws take up something else like knitting, or reading womens day, or buy a jeep... sh*t, gimme a hard hitting hungry battler any day vs spoilt aussie princess...

Most of these girls aren't strapped full of cash. Of course they are going to play here rather than OS, especially as these events are after the Australian summer tournaments. Plenty of time the rest of the year to spend their travel $ why not take advantage while they can

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
The options are limited, so largely the same pool of local players contesting the events with each other, with some overseas players. Doesn't help any of the self funded ones having to spend extra travelling to remote regions and limits the competition that could come in from overseas also to mix up the standard across the range of less to more experienced.

Yeah they need to sort this out, some of the events are in the most odd & inconvenient places.

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
With their great R1 wins this week, Storm Sanders and Azra Hadzic will both reach new career high rankings Storm will move into the 500s for the first time and Azra will crack the top 400 for the first time
Rajicic, Hadzic, Moore and Patterson are all now squarely inside the top 400 which is great - really starting to bring a bit more depth to our current crop of players.
It's also worth noting that these girls haven't had easy wins or cakewalk draws. They've had to beat classy opponents and have definitely earned their points and ranking

Well said. The draws this year have had less places to hide for sure.

Hopefully Rajicic can keep winning as she has R/U points coming off soon I think.

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Yeah those points will come off next week I think. Will be a big drop if she doesn't defend a chunk of them. Good chance to go far on grass court again though.

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Another great win for Storm, this time beating Arina Rodi in 2 sets.
Viki just saved 2 MPs against Tammi and they're now into a 3rd set.
And Boj raced out to a 4-0 lead against Liv! (It's now 4-1)

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Great wins for Storm and Vik (nice fightback) although disappointing for Tammi to not convert multiple MP's....
Liv beat Boj...probably not a bad thing for Boj to have a few days off...and Liv needs to defend her points...
Liv v Storm and Vik v Sacha/Azra shall be good tests....

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Tough draw for Boj. Still weird seeing her unseeded in this draw, considering the caliber of players she was playing (and beating) last month..
Hope she bounces back and gets back in the top 250 soon (and higher).
Olivia increases her H2H to 6-0 against Boj (7-0 if you count a WC play off match in 2011). She's only lost one set in those six matches as well.
Great, gutsy win for Viki She needed this more.

Here is an interesting one. Storm Sanders defeats Olivia Rogowska 7/5 7/6. Good for her.
